Who is Jovana Johnson?

I am an energetic young lady with interests in varying fields, trying to navigate my professional life.

What prompted you to start your business? I realized I wanted to own something of my own and that I had tons of ideas for small businesses so I created a small business from two of the skills I possess: Braiding and customer service.

What services do you offer?

Braids By JJ offers braiding services for all single styles. I am hoping to extend my services to hair care, barbering and cornrow styles in 2020.

Did you always want to become an Entrepreneur? Yes. I have always wanted to own something of my own and see how far I could go when I push myself. I am graduating with a degree in Health Sciences soon so I am also interested in Health promotion and research.

What is the most rewarding aspect of what you do? The most rewarding aspect is seeing someone transformed by a hairstyle I did. I also love hearing when they give me feedback.

Pancakes, Waffles or French toast: One has to go. What’s your choice? I would kick French toast to the curb- I prefer my eggs scrambled.
